Structured Sales Group brings a unique expertise and experience to the emerging structured sale marketplace. Every year, we are involved in the sale of periodic payment arrangements totalling eight figures in the personal injury marketplace, taxable damage awards and highly appreciated property. Our backgrounds in law and financial planning give us the knowledge to assist your clients in putting a tax-deferral plan into place for the sale of their property.

Structured Sales Group was founded by Jason D. Lazarus, J.D., Daniel J Alvarez, J.D. and Anthony F. Prieto, CFP to provide expert advice to those who want to take advantage of a structured sale.

We have teamed-up to bring more than 30 years of legal and financial planning experience to the Structured Sales Group.

Management Team


Daniel J. Alvarez, J.D.


Daniel J. Alvarez, J.D. is a Managing Partner of the Structured Sales Group and a Settlement Planner with Delta Settlement Solutions. Prior to this position, Alvarez was an associate trial attorney with Wilkes & McHugh.  Alvarez was involved in the mediation and settlement of complex, high value cases.  Alvarez started his legal career as a Prosecutor in the State Attorney’s Office Hillsborough County, handling over 60 jury trials.  Alvarez specializes in wealth transfer planning, including inheritance, legal settlements, real estate transactions, business sales and public benefit preservation.

Alvarez, a native of Orlando, received his undergraduate degree with honors and law degree cum laude from Florida State University.  Alvarez resides near downtown Tampa and enjoys spending time with his daughter.

Jason D. Lazarus, J.D., CSSC

Jason D. Lazarus is a Managing Partner of the Structured Sales Group and a Settlement Planner with Delta Settlement Solutions. Prior to this position, Lazarus was a practicing lawyer handling medical malpractice and workers compensation claims.  He is currently of counsel with a law firm practicing in the areas of public benefit preservation, guardianship, probate, estates and trusts.  He also assists injury victims with planning for their financial future when they settle their personal injury cases.  He frequently lectures across the country on the legal issues and ramifications of using periodic payment arrangements in physical injury settlements. 

Lazarus received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Central Florida and received his law degree Magna Cum Laude from Florida State University.  He and his wife have three children and reside in Orlando, Florida.

Anthony F. Prieto, Jr., CFP

Anthony F. Prieto, Jr., CFP is a Managing Partner of the Structured Sales Group and a Settlement Planner with Delta Settlement Solutions.   Prior to this position, Prieto spent over 10 years with The Gabor Agency, Inc. as a retirement planning consultant.  With over 12 years experience in the financial planning industry, he specializes in planned giving, wealth transfer planning, including inheritance, legal settlements, real estate transactions, business sales, investment and retirement plan distributions.

Prieto, a native of Tampa, received his undergraduate degree and certificate in Financial Planning from Florida State University.  Prieto and his wife reside near downtown with their daughters.
